My Baby Jane on the Virtual Design Wall
"Dear Jane for Dear Alan"
(19th century Reproduction Fabrics)
I have re-drafted all the blocks and triangles, to get them as close as
possible to the original.
Some blocks have wider sashings than others, and
quite a few have no sashings at all.
It is this un-evenness that first
attracted me to the quilt, and so I want to try and reproduce that.
I do
want to say, however, that I could not have re-drawn them without the help of
the beautiful photographs
in the Dear Jane book by Brenda Papadakis, which,
by the way, never seems to wear out!!
Finished count at 2 June 2008 -
(last one finished L-3)
169 - 52 - 4 - 5467
(blocks - triangles -
corners - total number of pieces)
Finished piecing all blocks and
triangles together on 11 August 2008.
